SPD Peer Mentorship Programs

Facilitated Peer Mentoring Groups for Junior Pediatric Dermatologists

The objective of these small group interactions is to provide mentorship for junior pediatric dermatologists in the area of clinical pediatric dermatology. Groups consisting of no more than four junior pediatric dermatologists meet monthly via secure internet videoconferencing, and are led a by a senior pediatric dermatologist who has committed to mentoring for one year. The goal is to initiate facilitated mentoring groups with movement towards independent peer mentoring relationships that will persist beyond the one-year period.

New groups begin each spring. If you are interested in participating, email Stephanie Garwood.

Surgery Mentoring Group (SPG)

The SPG is designed to foster mentorship and support the next generation of pediatric dermatologic surgeons. The group offers the opportunity to submit photos and questions or discuss challenging procedural cases with a senior SPD surgical mentor. Small, personalized education sessions led by renowned senior SPD members are also offered via secure internet videoconferencing.
