Pediatric Dermatologist

The Department of Dermatology at UCSF is seeking a board certified or eligible pediatric dermatologist with demonstrated excellence in patient care, teaching and scholarship for an Assistant or Associate Professor position at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. Primary responsibilities are patient care and teaching. Patient care will occur in the context of Pediatric Dermatology outpatient clinics and inpatient consultations including inpatient call coverage. Clinics are located at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland (CHO) and at the UCSF Shadelands clinic in Walnut Creek. There are opportunities to perform pediatric dermatologic surgery and laser surgery, if interested. The successful candidate will also share a love of teaching as the position involves a significant educational component via bedside, formal and informal teaching of learners including primarily pediatric residents based at CHO. There are ample opportunities for scholarship - either clinical or educational- in an area of the faculty’s choosing and participation and presentation at local, regional and national meetings is encouraged. Mentoring opportunities for clinical care, scholarship, leadership and teaching are readily available with a close-knit cross-bay Pediatric Dermatology division and throughout the renown UCSF medical center.
