Award for Dermatologists from Developing Countries

The Society for Pediatric Dermatology's (SPD) biannual award for a dermatologist who has made significant contributions to the care of pediatric skin disease in their developing country will be given in 2023. The award recipient will be invited to attend our 48th Annual Meeting, to be held July 13-16, 2023 in Asheville, North Carolina and will be asked to give a brief presentation at that meeting.

Registration and travel expenses will be paid by SPD. We are particularly interested in supporting a dermatologist who might otherwise be unable to attend our meeting. Applications should include, but are not limited to: CV, headshot photograph (used in SPD newsletter if selected), letters of nomination (if available), and a personal statement (maximum of 1 page) outlining background, reasons why applicant should receive the award, and/or goals for attending the meeting. Applications should be mailed to Dr. Maria Teresa Garcia-Romero, Chair, International Committee, c/o Society for Pediatric Dermatology, 8365 Keystone Crossing, Suite 107, Indianapolis, IN 46240 or emailed to Dr. Garcia-Romero at info@pedsderm.net.
