International Trainee/Early Career Travel Award

The SPD provides one (1) International Trainee/Early Career Travel Award on a competitive basis every even-numbered year (2020, 2022, 2024) to a young pediatric dermatologist to attend the SPD Annual Meeting. This initiative seeks to encourage participation among pediatric dermatologists from outside North America and either currently in training programs or less than 5 years of practice, who want to attend the SPD Annual Meeting but would not be able to attend without financial assistance. The award includes paid meeting registration and coverage of hotel accommodations and airline / ground transportation.

The International Outreach & Global Alliances Committee will evaluate the applications on the basis of the applicant's commitment to pediatric dermatology, involvement in education and training in their countries and their financial situation. Candidates will be required to submit a personal statement (1-page max) outlining their background, goals for attending the meeting, how it will change their career path as well as their current CV. All documents must be submitted in English.

Applications should be sent as a single PDF to Dr. Maria Teresa Garcia-Romero, Chair of the International Outreach & Global Alliances Committee, c/o Society for Pediatric Dermatology, 8365 Keystone Crossing, Suite 107, Indianapolis, IN 46240 at info@pedsderm.net.
