The Department of Dermatology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University is recruiting a board-certified/board-eligible pediatric dermatologist to join its faculty.
The Department of Dermatology at Brown is the largest academic faculty group providing comprehensive dermatologic care in the State of Rhode Island extending to Southern Massachusetts and Eastern Connecticut. The dermatology clinical service spans two health systems/seven hospitals (Brown University Health and Care New England) and the Providence VA.
The pediatric dermatology division provides ambulatory services at Brown Dermatology offices, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, inpatient and emergency department consultations to Hasbro Children’s Hospital and the Women and Infants Hospital NICU and newborn nurseries; didactic teaching to dermatology residents, pediatric house staff and neonatology fellows and community practitioners; and participates in interdisciplinary activities, such as Vascular Anomalies Clinic and Dermatology-Genetics conferences. Opportunities to conduct clinical trials exist.
Position description:
We seek a colleague in dermatology with tremendous passion for pediatric dermatology to continue to build and grow the busy pediatric dermatology division which consists of two other dedicated pediatric dermatologists. The position includes:
· Potential to work with our pediatric colleagues in clinic and during consultations at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, a regional children’s hospital with a full range of pediatric residency and fellowship programs
· Ability to supervise and educate Brown Dermatology residents and other trainee rotators (e.g., pediatric residents and medical students).
