Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is seeking a second Fellowship Trained Pediatric Dermatologist to join a flourishing practice. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced practice serving a 100% pediatric population.

Other highlights of the opportunity include a good deal of procedural work, use of a light booth and multiple specialty clinics including vascular anomalies, neurofibromatosis, and tuberous sclerosis. This position will provide consultation and treatment that serves the needs of the tertiary and quaternary out patient populations, and those who require acute care in the hospital setting.

As the pediatric clinical academic partner of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital offers academic appointments for qualified candidates. Teaching opportunities with med students and residents, and support for clinical research are also available.

Practice Description:

The physicians in the practice are members of The Spectrum Health Medical Group. The Spectrum Health Medical Group is a growing, physician-led, multispecialty practice.

Outreach clinics are also offered and there is opportunity to expand the telemedicine service.

Ranked in 4-specialties (2022-23) US News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is a state-of-the-art, globally integrated, 234-bed free standing dedicated children’s hospital located on the main campus of Spectrum Health. Annually, there are 8760 inpatient and 124,600 ambulatory visits, as well as over 55,185 children seen in the Pediatric Emergency Department (Level 1 Trauma rated). HDVCH also has one of the nation’s largest Level 4 NICU’s (108-beds).

Basic Qualifications:
Education - Medical Degree (MD or DO)
Licenses -
Current M.D. or D.O. license for the state of Michigan.
Current State of Michigan and Federal Narcotics Licenses.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Specific to SHMG 90 Days Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Specific to SHMG: ACLS required if stress tests performed or as required by specialty. 120 Days Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Specific to SHMG: (PALS is required by if specialty or stress test performed 120 Days
