3-Year Dermatology Residency Track with Pediatric Dermatology Focus

Stanford Dermatology is pleased to offer an inaugural position for a 3-year Dermatology Residency Track with a Pediatric Dermatology Focus, beginning July 1, 2025. This position is designed for individuals with a strong commitment to pediatric care and a dedicated interest in pursuing a career in pediatric dermatology.

Stanford participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). As an interested party, you must register for the Match by contacting the NMRP and provide your Match Number on the application.

Eligibility
Preferred: Completion of a residency in pediatrics by start date (July 1, 2025)
Must have completed at least one year of clinical training (PGY1)
Demonstrated a commitment to a career in pediatric dermatology

Training Structure
Three years will include training in general dermatology core areas (medical dermatology, dermatopathology, dermatologic surgery and pediatric dermatology) to meet Dermatology Residency ACGME requirements and eligibility for Dermatology Board Certification.

The pediatric dermatology focus will include the following training opportunities:
Pediatric Dermatology Continuity Clinic (for at least 2 training years)
Mentored Quality Improvement Project in Pediatric Dermatology
Clinical Scholars Track research project in pediatric dermatology
Dedicated mentorship from a pediatric dermatologist
Participation in bi-monthly pediatric dermatology educational conferences
Opportunity to attend the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and/or Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance meetings

A fellowship in pediatric dermatology is independent from this training track. Trainees who complete this program will be well-qualified to apply for an ACGME accredited pediatric dermatology fellowship. Trainees will apply for fellowship and participate in the fellowship match as other traditional candidates.
