Pediatric Dermatologist

Phoenix Children's Hospital

Phoenix Children's Hospital (PCH) is now recruiting for a pediatric dermatologist for 2015-2016. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. Clinical duties will include outpatient clinics at Phoenix Children’s Hospital main campus as well as satellite locations, inpatient consultations, shared call, and teaching to rotating pediatric and dermatology residents as well as medical students. PCH also has an American Board of Dermatology certified fellowship program in pediatric dermatology with 2 funded clinical fellowship positions per year. Staff physicians work individually with our fellows in training on a daily basis. Opportunities for designated laser and surgical time are available, working along side pediatric anesthesiologists. Clinical research is encouraged. Salary is competitive for a pediatric dermatology position and PCH offers an excellent benefit package. PCH is an equal opportunity employer.

PCH dermatology has a very busy service with three attending physicians, two nurse practitioners, and two designated dermatology nurses. We currently staff 2 satellite clinics in the surrounding communities. Presently we see over 4000 outpatient consults/year and manage 300 inpatient consult visits/year. Our department spearheads monthly interdisciplinary clinics including Vascular Anomalies Clinic, Congenital and Genetic Skin Disease Clinic, and Epidermolysis Bullosa Clinic. The breadth and variety of cases, both inpatient and outpatient is comparable or superior to a large university or tertiary care center. PCH has been recognized as a top children’s hospital by US News and World Report, and is one of the 5 largest children’s hospitals in the USA. We now have more than one hundred pediatric residents. Ours is the largest pediatric dermatology group in the state of Arizona, serving patients throughout Arizona and neighboring states. Opportunity for affiliations with Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, University of Arizona, and Arizona State University exist. Our staff regularly participates in community outreach by providing care to homeless children and teens and operates a quarterly clinic for underprivileged children from Mexico in Nogales, Arizona.
