THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO (UCSD), DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS (http://www-pediatrics.ucsd.edu), AND RADY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF SAN DIEGO (http://www.rchsd .org) are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. We are seeking an academic physician at the assistant rank to join the Division of Pediatric Dermatology (http://www·pediatrlcs.ucsd.edu/DivlsionsiOermatology/Pages/default.aspx).

The successful candidate will join 6 academic pediatric dermatologists, 3-5 fellows, 2 physician assistants/nurse practitioners, and a large support team dedicated to outstanding patient care delivery, education and research related to skin disorders in children and improving skin health. The division offers diverse clinical opportunities including sub-specialty Centers of Excellence which include The Eczema Center, The Vascular Lesion/Birthmarks Center, and the Scar Treatment and Revision Program. The Division also has an active research program and the ideal candidate will be a promising academic clinician/clinician-researcher.

Candidates must be Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Dermatology and licensable in the state of California. The ideal candidate will be committed to all aspects of clinical care and the teaching program which includes students, residents in pediatrics and dermatology, and fellows. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in equity and diversity with respect to teaching, mentoring, research, life experiences, or service towards building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Successful candidates will also demonstrate strong or potential accomplishments in areas contributing to diversity, equity and inclusion, and a desire to play a leadership role in advancing UC San Diego’s commitment to achieving excellence and diversity.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
