Visual Thinking Strategies Workshop at Weisman Art Museum

Art museum staff will lead this two-hour workshop focusing on developing observation, visual inspection, with interpretation and verbal communication skills through looking at works of art. Participants will learn that at any given moment, there are multiple ways of looking at and seeing objects, issues, or problems and learn to reach beyond one’s supposed limitations, to explore playfully without a preconceived plan and to embrace the opportunity to learn from mistakes and accidents.

Mall of America
Depart 2:00 pm; Return 5:30 pm

Transportation to the Mall of America, where you will have time to shop and explore the largest mall in the United States. The mall boasts more than 500 stores, as well as 50+ restaurants, and Nickelodeon Universe, the nation’s largest indoor theme park.

Paisley Park

Experience the place where iconic Minnesota artist Prince lived and worked. Whether you're a devoted fan, a music lover, or simply curious, this is your chance to experience firsthand the creative magic behind Prince’s iconic music and performances. On this two-hour tour, walk through the spaces where he recorded, produced, and performed, and explore exclusive artifacts from his personal archives—concert wardrobes, awards, instruments, artwork, motorcycles, rare music, and video recordings. Please note, Paisley Park does not allow children under 10.

Magnolia River Cruise
Depart 2:00 pm; Return 5:30 pm

Cruise down the Mississippi on the Magnolia Blossom. Experience Minnesota's capital, St. Paul, and take in a variety of sights, from sandstone bluffs and nature preserves to historic downtown. Light appetizers and a cash bar are available on board.

Guided Mississippi River Kayak Tour

See Minneapolis from the Mississippi! Take a 5-mile, 2-hour guided kayak tour down the Mississippi towards downtown Minneapolis. Traveling from Riverfront Regional Park to Boom Island Park, you'll be rewarded with spectacular city skyline views. Suitable for all skill levels.
