Faculty Opportunity

Cincinnati Children's Hospital

The Division of Dermatology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is currently seeking two board eligible/certified dermatologists and one board eligible/certified dermatopathologist who have completed a pediatric fellowship. Faculty appointments are granted through the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and faculty rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.

Successful candidates will join our growing team of two dermatologists and two advanced nurse practitioners to provide care for infants, children, and adolescents with dermatologic disorders in the outpatient clinics, as well as on a busy inpatient consultation service. The Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center network consists of the Burnet campus as well as neighborhood locations within Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky.

We offer excellent opportunities for performing laser and excisional surgery and there is a strong foundation of support for candidates with clinical or basic science research interests. Additionally, the division participates in outstanding multidisciplinary care centers in Hemangiomas and Vascular Malformations, Epidermolysis Bullosa, Atopic Dermatitis, Pigmented Lesions, Dermatology–Rheumatology, and Genodermatoses and there is opportunity for faculty to develop additional areas of interest.

We have a highly skilled, caring clinical support team consisting of nurses, medical assistants, and a full-time medical photographer. Faculty are active in fellow, resident and medical student education and routinely supervise pediatrics residents from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, dermatology residents from the Department of Dermatology at the University of Cincinnati, and pediatric dermatology fellows from Cincinnati Children’s Division of Pediatric Dermatology.

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is nationally recognized as a leader in pediatric healthcare, with a reputation for excellence in patient care, research and medical education. U.S. News & World Report ranked Cincinnati Children’s as one of the nation’s top three pediatric hospitals in their 2013-2014 edition of America’s Best Children's Hospitals issue. Among pediatric institutions, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is the second-highest ranking recipient of research grants from the National Institutes of Health. This gives us the unique opportunity to influence future generations and the care of adolescents and young adults.
